Sarasota County Fairgrounds tickets & upcoming events

If you’re looking for a place that’s got history, buzz, and a little bit of everything, Sarasota County Fairgrounds is where it’s at. This spot is where the first professional fireworks display for the Sarasota County Fair lit up the sky back in 1995, and honestly, it’s become a highlight year after year. But it’s not just about fireworks, the fair itself has a long-standing tradition, dating back to 1985 when a touring circus made its first appearance right here, drawing crowds with daily shows that kept everyone talking. Fast forward to 2013, and the fair set a record with the most amusement rides ever seen on the midway, I mean, you could spend hours just wandering through the colorful chaos. If you’re eyeing premium seats, they usually come with cool perks like free programs to keep track of the acts or performances. The VIP zones at the Grandstand are pretty popular too, especially because some of the best photo spots are right there, perfect for snapping a quick shot with the crowd in the background. Getting to the fairgrounds is a breeze, if you're coming from the south, hop on I-75 north and take the local street exit; from the east, follow University Parkway west and then head south on Tuttle Avenue. Whether you're here for the rides, the concerts, or just to soak up the lively atmosphere, Sarasota County Fairgrounds really does have something for everyone, and trust me, it’s worth a visit, especially when a big event is happening and the place is buzzing with energy.
